Climate Change?

The topics for the third, and final, presidential debate of 2016 have been announced:

Debt and entitlements

Immigration

The economy

The Supreme Court

Foreign hot spots

Candidate’s fitness to be president

While these are no doubt important topics, it is unacceptable that climate change is NOT one of the scheduled topics.  While Politico (the linked source above) does indicate that “Those topics are subject to change based on any news developments.”, one must wonder what it takes to have a direct, political, discussion regarding climate change-not that Secretary Clinton’s and Mr. Trump’s positions about climate change are unknown (here and here).

It is important to note that the U.S. Department of Defense released this report last year.

Hurricane Matthew wrecked Haiti, and those in North Carolina are continuing to deal with rising flood waters. Hurricane Nicole, another Category 4 storm, is currently approaching the Bahamas.

Take care.

NOTE:  The above photographs were made in New Orleans’ Ninth Ward three years after Hurricane Katrina.
